We would like to share a summary of activity carried out by the Hackney Central and Hackney Downs Safer Neighbourhood Teams for the week ending 30 August 2026.

This Week's Results

✅ 4 Arrests

Arrests made for a range of offences, including drug-related offences, failing to attend court or required appointments, and assault-related matters.

✅ 5 Stop and Searches

Proactive patrols and intelligence-led activity carried out to prevent and detect crime.

✅ 1 Police Community Resolution (PCR)

Used as an effective and proportionate way of addressing low-level offending.

✅ 2 Anti-Social Behaviour Warnings Issued

To address behaviour negatively impacting local residents, businesses, and visitors.

✅ 4 Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) Issued

Issued to individuals involved in persistent anti-social behaviour and offending, providing an opportunity to address behaviour before further enforcement action is considered.

✅ 7 New Met Engage Sign-Ups

Thank you to everyone who has joined. Your engagement helps us keep communities informed and connected.

✅ 15 Community Updates Sent

Sharing crime prevention advice, local policing activity, and community safety information.

Supporting Safer Communities

Throughout the week, officers also conducted high-visibility patrols, engagement activities, public order operations, and transport network patrols across the wards. These activities are aimed at preventing crime, tackling anti-social behaviour, and providing reassurance to residents, businesses, and visitors.
